AAA LR03 Alkaline Batteries X-tra Blister Pack of 4 - Aiwa
AA LR6 Alkaline Batteries X-tra Blister Pack of 4 - Aiwa
Aiwa X-tra batteries are consumer-grade alkaline batteries available in two universal sizes: AA and AAA. Simple, reliable, and economical, they are suitable for a wide range of devices, including the majority of battery-operated sex toys.
How do alkaline batteries work?
An alkaline battery relies on a chemical reaction between manganese dioxide and zinc in an alkaline medium (potassium hydroxide). This technology provides a stable nominal voltage of 1.5V per cell, which matches the exact requirements of vibrators, remote controls, and other small electronic devices. Compared to standard zinc-carbon batteries, alkaline batteries offer an energy density approximately 3 to 5 times higher for the same size.
Shelf life is a key criterion: Aiwa X-tra batteries have a long expiration date, which allows them to be stored without risk of leakage. This is a significant point for use in sensitive devices such as vibrators, where a leak can irreparably damage the battery compartment.
The different alkaline battery formats
- AA (LR6): the most common format, used in remote controls, flashlights, and many medium or large-sized sex toys.
- AAA (LR03): more compact, this battery powers small devices such as mini-vibrators, laser pointers, or slim remote controls.
- C and D: larger formats, less common in sex toys but present in some powerful massage devices or accessories with high energy consumption.
- 9V (6LR61): square format used in specific devices; rare in sex toys but present in some electronic stimulation accessories.
How to choose the right batteries for your intimate devices
- Check the format indicated in your device's manual (AA, AAA, C…) before any purchase to avoid unpleasant surprises.
- Prefer alkaline batteries over zinc-carbon ones: they last longer and leak much less, which protects your devices.
- Opt for a multi-pack (4 units) if you regularly use several battery-operated devices, so you always have a spare set on hand.
- Check the expiration date at the time of purchase: a battery stored for a long time gradually loses its charge even when not in use.
- If your budget allows, NiMH rechargeable batteries of the same size are a more economical alternative in the long run for intensive and daily use.
